Maps are the most honest design objects we know. Lake Tahoe is 1,645 feet deep. That's the second-deepest in North America, the tenth-deepest in the world. Donner Lake is 328. Independence Lake is 1,000. Pyramid Lake on the Nevada side is 350. Every depth, every elevation, every coordinate on this page is the thing it claims to be.
